A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM in The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette for Camille Hensarling Mahtook, age 24, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at her residence in Lafayette, surrounded by the love of her family and in the arms of her devoted husband. Camille’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory will continue to shine brightly as a source of love, faith, and inspiration.
Following the Mass, entombment will take place at St. John Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum in Lafayette, where Camille will be laid to rest with the dignity and reverence she so deeply deserves.
Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Camille’s life during visitation hours. Visitation will be observed on Friday at Martin & Castille’s Downtown location from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary recited at 6:30 PM in honor of Camille’s devotion to her faith. On Saturday morning, visitation will continue at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist beginning at 10:00 AM and will remain open until the time of the funeral service.
